Clinton Fearon 'Why Worry' New Video #TheGladiators


After 3 years of absence, Seattle-based reggae veteran Clinton Fearon will be back on 13th September with "History Says", his 13th solo album that will celebrate his 50 years as a professional musician.

Clinton Fearon got his start in his native Jamaica as a member of the reggae group The Gladiators. He recorded 11 albums with the band from 1.976 to 1.987, when he left The Gladiators and relocated to Seattle.

¿Cuándo tendrán lugar las movilizaciones mundiales por el clima?

Jóvenes han despertado a parte del mundo con sus poderosas movilizaciones estudiantiles por el clima #FridaysForFuture. Mientras lidiamos con el devastador colapso del clima y nos lanzamos hacia peligrosos puntos de inflexión, diversos grupos de personas están haciendo un llamado a que millones interrumpamos el curso habitual de las cosas y nos unamos a las movilizaciones mundiales por el clima el 20 de septiembre, justo antes de una cumbre de emergencia sobre el clima de la ONU, y de nuevo el 27 de septiembre.

Juntos, haremos que suene la alarma y mostraremos a "nuestros" políticos que continuar con la misma situación no es una opción. La crisis climática no va a esperar, nosotros tampoco.

Jack Johnson rides the Cigarette Surfboard


Cigarette butts are the world's most littered item, meaning that they often end up floating in the ocean.

In 2017, Taylor Lane shaped a surfboard made from 10.000 beach-littered cigarettes. The stunning surf craft won VISSLA's Creators & Innovators Upcycle Contest.

The impact Lane's idea had on the general public was exciting enough for him to carry on and expand the project.

Costa Rica establishes National Surfing Day


The Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica has formally approved the bill that establishes the National Surfing Day.

The commission which analyzed Bill 21.241 has unanimously voted in favor of considering the practice and development of surfing as of economic, sporting, tourist and public interest.

The unprecedented move in Costa Rican sport confirms that the National Surf Day will be celebrated every third Sunday of October.

Thus, on October 19, 2019, the Costa Rica Surfing Federation (FSC), together with the Costa Rican Sports Institute (ICODER), will celebrate the first national day of any sport in the country.

Este pasado sábado continuaron los violentos choques de policías contra manifestantes que ya llevan doce semanas.

La policía exhibió pancartas recordando a los manifestantes que estaban "infringiendo la ley" y podían ser encausados.

Según datos oficiales, Venezuela registra este año 1.180 abusos sexuales y un aumento exponencial de feminicidios (sólo casos denunciados hasta agosto de 2.019)


Venezuela ha registrado en lo que va de año 1.180 casos de abuso sexual y un incremento en los feminicidios, informó este martes el Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (CICPC).

"Tenemos un balance a nivel nacional de 1.180 casos de abuso sexual", dijo el director de ese cuerpo policial, declaración que ha sido difundida en las redes sociales.

El funcionario explicó que las autoridades venezolanas han dado "respuesta en un 63%" de estos casos, por los que han detenido a 627 personas (Dato: más de un 90% de los delitos en Venezuela quedan impunes).

El pacto Nazi-Soviético y el desfile conjunto de 1.939 en Polonia que algunos niegan, en vídeo


El pacto Nazi-Soviético, también conocido como pacto Ribbentrop-Molotov por los dos ministros extranjeros que negociaron el acuerdo, tenía dos partes. El acuerdo económico, firmado el 19 de agosto de 1.939, estipulaba que Alemania entregaría productos manufacturados a cambio de materia prima soviética. La Alemania nazi y la Unión Soviética también firmaron un pacto de no agresión durante diez años el 23 de agosto de 1939, en el que cada uno de los firmantes prometió no atacar al otro.

El pacto Nazi-Soviético permitió que Alemania atacara Polonia el 1 de septiembre de 1.939 sin temor a la intervención soviética. El 3 de septiembre de 1939, Gran Bretaña y Francia, que habían garantizado cinco meses antes la protección de las fronteras de Polonia, declararon la guerra a Alemania. Estos sucesos marcaron el comienzo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
